Mops

If you have a string or sponge mop, please throw it away. Those types of tools only make matters worse. Instead of cleaning, they smear dirt and germs around–often from room to room. Not to mention once wet, those string mops get heavy and can take their toll on your back.

Instead, you want something light and easy to maneuver while also picking up the very dirt you’re trying to clean up. This is where microfiber mops come in. The microfiber mops listed below have the following benefits:

  • lightweight
  • easy to maneuver
  • easy removal and installation of microfiber mop head to avoid cross-contamination amongst rooms
  • reusable microfiber mop heads. Throw them in the washing machine dry on low and they’re set to go

I recommend against any size over 24 inches as the pressure exerted on the mop head becomes uneven at the tips making for inconsistent results. A 24 inch mop head tends to be a good size and fit for most rooms, large or small.
